We had our first 'wedding craft weekend' on Saturday, and it was a LATE night to say the least! How does going to bed at 4am sound?! My mom and Lyla (my matron of honor) were here to help me accomplish the mission of creating the boxes for our wedding favors. They turned out perfectly and I can't wait for everyone to see them and fill them with goodies. Would you like to know what we are doing with them? YES???? Well you will have to standby until September. In the mean time, here are some photos to hold you over!

Have my cake and eat it too...
I feel like it's the little things that add so much to a wedding, especially when you're on a budget. There are times that I'm more crafty than others, so I'm doing my very best to stay on the crafty and creative side for the next 6-7 months.
I few months ago I made a purchase that I'm very excited about and thought I would share with everyone. As I said before, the little details add a lot and go a long way in my eyes. The cake table and cake pictures are always something that I've never really paid a lot of attention to. It isn't that i don't appreciate a beautiful cake, b/c I do, but I'm just not big on eating cake or watching it be smashed in either the bride or grooms face. Maybe I feel that way since I know I will beat Dom to a pulp if he does that to me! HA!!! (yes, he is well aware of this) That being said, I bought something that I cannot wait to pass down through our family after our wedding. We don't really have any 'herloom' items to add to the wedding so I thought I would start something new.
I found these on Etsy in September, purchased them, and packed them away in one of the many 'white wedding tote boxes' that you can find scattering our basement. They have been packed away for so long, that I almost forgot about them until lunch today when I was looking for something in particular. Surprise! So, look for these on our cake table and check out the seller on Etsy. Enjoy!

Invitations
I love designing invitations, programs and anything to do with layouts and Adobe. Sometimes I am more creative than others, but the fact that I'm super crital of my work tends to cause me to spend WAAAAY too much time on things. I'm proud of the invites and programs I've designed for a few friends and would love to be able to do that on a regular basis one day. When I began planning our wedding I immediately thought I would design, layout, and print our invites, but I recently fell in love with some invitations that I just love and won't be able to make myself. Reason: I can't print on black paper/card stock. BUMMER!
The inviations above are my inspiration and a small sample of what is to come. I love the classy, simple, yet modern feel these invations have and how they represent Dom and I.
I have the layouts done and the logos for each insert made, but now we just need to get a few small details ironed out before we can order. Wish us luck with those small details!

All 'Suited' Up
From the beginning of wedding planning Dom and I discussed that we didn't want black tuxes and we didn't wanted anything with a vest. We really like the look of grey tuxes and suits, so the search has come to an end. This is the tux the groom and groomsmen will be wearing, but they will not have the vest. Do you like it?
Sorry ladies, I already asked if the guy could be an usher...apparently it's just not possible!
Love,
Sara

Things I LOVE...
In honor of Valentine's Day, I want to post a view photos of the things I love. Let me know what you think!
My flower girl dresses are going to be an altered verson of this dress. We are going to add straps to memick my dress! I'm in love with this!
These necklaces are sooo amazing! I knew that I wanted my bridesmaids to wear something 'trendy', so t his is what I want...as of now. :) Please check out Lilly Pie Accessories on Etsy. She has the cutest items; necklaces, headbands, and even baby headbands. I know several people who are very happy with her products. Check her out! Lilly Pie
Please note the ring! Yes, I will be making this item for some special people!

Let There Be Music!
Dom and I have been working very hard on the wedding plans. Since the last post we have booked our DJ and are VERY excited about the wonderful party vibe Track Seven DJ will provide. We met with Joel Nowacki a few weeks ago and knew immediately he was the perfect DJ for our reception. What is worse than a DJ that plays lame music and forces people to avoid the dance floor? We refuse to have that happen at our wedding and will expect to see all of you burning holes in the floor!
Will this be you?

Say 'Yes' to the Dress
I have known for quite some time EXACTLY what I was looking for in regards to my wedding dress. The only problem has been...FINDING THAT DARN DRESS! I really didn't have to try on very many dresses, because I was able to eleminate several by just looking at them. Some might call me rediculous, but hey, it saved a lot of time and hassle. Soooo....after trying on about 10-15 dresses and visiting about 5 places, I have finally purchased my dress! Thank you to all of you that were brave enough to tag along with me on these ventures. I am sure you wanted to kick me a few time, but I love you for being so helpful and understanding. I can't wait to show everyone my dress in September!!!
